REGISTRATION

 

Here's a brief summary of the rules of the tournament. All of this information, along with other information, is available in the Registration Packet, which can be downloaded below.

 

  • Teams

•  Must consist of 5 to 8 players.

•  Can be all male or female or coed.

•  5 players on the field at a time.

•  Substitutions will be made on the fly.

  • Timekeeping and Scorekeeping

•  Games will be 12 minutes in length and time will be kept by a referee .

•  Score must be kept by the players and reported to the referee at the end of the game.

  • Game Play

•  Kickoff is determined by RPS.

•  Goals must be scored from inside the numbers.

•  Fouls should be called by players on the field; the referee will regulate any disputes.

•  Any ball going out of bounds on the sideline will result in a throw-in.

•  There will be no corner kicks; a throw-in will be taken in the appropriate corner.

  • Ties

•  If the game is tied after 12 minutes a sudden death shootout will determine the winner.

•  Shot will be taken from half field.

•  RPS will determine the order.

•  Winner of shootout will have 1 goal added to their score for the game.

  • Tournament Format

•  Eight teams will advance to the quarterfinals.

•  6 group winners

•  2 Wild-Cards

•  Tiebreakers will be head-to-head, goal differential, goals allowed, coin-flip in that order.

•  Championship rounds are single elimination.

•  Games in the championship rounds will follow same rules as the opening rounds.

•  Game length is subject to adjustment.

TEAM REGISTRATION FORM

 

*The Tournament will have 3 components. First and second rounds of tournament play will take place from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.; between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. we will be hosting opportunities at the Interfaith Chapel (inclusive of a speaker, video display, and other educational activities) that highlight the plight of migrant workers in our midst; Tournament play will then pickup at 4:00 p.m. and go until 9:00 p.m. with a halftime show and a championship game under the lights.
