Giving to the Catholic Newman Community

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Catholic Newman Community at the University of Rochester! There are many ways you can make a difference through your support. We invite you to explore the ways to get involved and join us.

Did you know?
• Over 1400 Catholic students attend the University of Rochester?
• University financial support is less than 5% of Newman’s annual $162,000 budget?
Alumni and parents’ generous support of Newman’s annual appeal is over 50% of our budget?
Any gift to the University of Rochester can be designated for use by the Catholic Newman Community (including alumni, annual, planned or class gift)?
Your support helps...
• Sponsor 7-10 programs each week and over 100 different programs for students each year!
• Win two national award-winning programs - St. Sebastian Society’s Developing Leaders for the Future (2007) and Newman Fest’s Forming the Faith Community (2009)!
• Celebrate Sunday Mass for over 450 students!
Provide food and fellowship for over 60 students at our weekly pasta dinner and 110 every third Sunday!
• Sponsor 5 retreats bringing over 120 students closer to Christ every year!
• Welcome, on average, 8 students each year into full communion within the Catholic Church!
